Culture, Language, Story : reading landscape through movement

Billie Cook Movement

Billie Cook is a dance artist working in
visual and film media.

Her three fundamental principles when approaching any project are CULTURE,
LANGUAGE & STORY.

Billie is particularly interested in collaborating with landscape architecture
and movement in performance.  This is perhaps something that we could
draw upon as inspiration for our TiCkLe research, more specifically ‘Pop Ups’.

Billie is also interested in exploring the realm of the ‘Inbetween’ in the
landscape. In the instance of an impending new development where the existing
site holds a wealth of history, there is the potential to use the space
(through performance, installation, media) that exists after the ‘old’ and
before the ‘new’.
